Description

Some are holding signs for Lyndon Johnson ("Lady Bird We Love Ya'"; "Bury Barry"; "LBJ for ALA"; "L.B.J. / H.H.H."), while others are holding signs for Barry Goldwater ("Goldwater 64" and "Goldwater / He Doesn't Hate the South," which features a hand-drawn Confederate flag and an elephant wearing Goldwater's signature black-frame glasses). Lady Bird was heckled by Goldwater supporters when she spoke at the dedication of the Phoenix Fire Museum in Mobile.
