Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript addressed from "4F Beckman St New York".James Miller M'Kim relates to William Lloyd Garrison that he had an hour's conversation with Wendell Phillips, and states that their misunderstanding has brought about a "kinder mutual understanding" between the two of them. M'Kim informs Garrison that he is sending to Phillips an edition of the Standard dated March 26th, in which is published his letter concerning the "Major". M'Kim comments that while Phillips is quite reasonable during discussion, he remains "set in his opinions", and that Phillips is "of the opinion that you & he differ radically on the suffrage question".
