Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript annotated on recto, with "29" in pencil underneath first line of letter body.Ann Terry Phillips writes William Lloyd Garrison encouraging him to go to Washington, D.C., arguing that their party should now be represented in the nation's capital, and that Garrison, as its leaders, should not "let [Garrison's] presence be wanting at this Crisis". Phillips states the need of her husband Wendell for Garrison's aid, and begs Garrison help him, stating that his influence amongst the political set in Washington is far less than that of Garrison.
