The Fairfield Four gospel quartet (Rev. Sam McCrary, W. L. Richardson, Wilson Waters, James Hill, and Isaac Freeman) perform onstage at Nashville's Summer Lights Festival, 1985.The Fairfield Four are recipients of both a National Heritage Fellowship (1989) and Tennessee Governor's Award in the Arts (1994).
