Page details her family's victimization by white neighbors in the Ross Field area, which in part gave rise to Hyde Park United, a multi-racial group that sought to stem racial conflict by proactively bringing people together and engaging Boston Police Department's Community Disorders Unit to bring perpetrators to justice. Walsh and Page each conclude that race relations in Hyde Park improved dramatically with these organizing efforts.
