Description

Holograph, signed with initials.Maria Weston Chapman explains that the reason that Mr. & Mrs. Chapman, Sr., did not come was that they were ill. Henry G. Chapman is more comfortable, but no stronger. "He takes to reading more." Maria Chapman has read a good deal. She tells of an incident about Edmund Quincy and a picnic in Dedham. On page two of the letter, Maria gives a list of books that she has read, with brief critical comments.
