Description

Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.W. Ingram writes to Theodore Parker in regards to his anti-slavery sentiments and efforts in the south. He has written a book in Virginia of facts as they came under his own observation, titled, "Real Life, or Uncle Cesar and the school boys" which he says, "will open the eyes of our country on this subject which is at this time so agitating our country." He tried to get it published in Philadelphia and then tried in New York but no one will publish it. Mr. Jewett of Boston could not publish it as well. He is determined to get it published. He is interested in Parker's trial and defense statements. He intends to go to Boston and would like Parker's advice on the publication of his book.
