Description
Holograph, signed.Wherever William Lloyd Garrison goes in Boston, he is welcomed by abolitionist friends. A ladies' fair is being held today at Henry Chapman's house. John G. Whittier's portrait and George Thompson's portraits are on view. William L. Garrison's portrait is in Philadelphia to be engraved. Henry E. Benson, Isaac Knapp, and William L. Garrison sleep in the office. Samuel Sewall's "intended" [bride], Miss Winslow, was at the fair. William L. Garrison and Mr. May visited Harriet Martineau at Mr. Ezra S.
