Holograph, signedTitle devised by catalogerAaron Cyrus Macy, acting at the bequest of Maria Marriott, forwards to William Lloyd Garrison a package, stating that the contents therein belonged to Marriott's mother prior to her departure from England. Macy states that they hope that Garrison will accept this memento from Marriott, who gives it to Garrison as a sign of her admiration for one "whose life has been an earnest protest against the many wrongs of the slave"
