Biographical entry on William Harold Flowers, a lawyer, minister, and civil rights leader during the 1940s in Arkansas. Flowers was the first African- American circuit court judge in Jefferson County, president of the African-American National Bar Association, and an active member of the NAACP. The article contains a photograph of Flowers.The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
