Description

This folder is primarily composed of documents relating the efforts of parents and activists in desegregating the schools of Canton, Mississippi. Included are a legal complaint against the Canton School District, a press release detailing how Canton students organized their own Freedom Schools, and a proposed plan for desegregating the educational system in New York City.
