Holograph, signed.William Lloyd Garrison asks Mrs. Eddy to convey his thanks to her father, Francis Jackson, for the grapes he sent. Garrison makes a pun on grapes, referring to General Taylor's use of grape[shot] in Mexico. Garrison expresses his grateful appreciation of Francis Jackson's generous and heroic character that he has known through their twenty years of association.Merrill, Walter M.
