The entire 1931 French Zig-Zag Moderne style complex, which includes ground floor businesses, the Wiltern Theatre, and the Pellissier Building, was designed by Stiles O. Clements and is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.Photograph caption dated May 5, 1985 reads, "The landmark blue-green Wiltern Theatre was in the spotlight the night of its official reopening. Community and business leaders from the city celebrated its renovation with a party and performance by the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater."
