Description
Princeola Goodman is interviewed by Edward Clark Smith on September 1, 1987 as a part of the Western North Carolina Tomorrow Black Oral History Project. Goodman moved to Asheville in 1930, one month pregnant and a widow. She grew up in Honea Path, South Carolina where her father owned land, but did not allow his children to work in the fields. Her mother died when she was young, and her father gave her and her siblings a good childhood. Goodman shares her thoughts on race relations.
