Nyack NAACP commemorates 75th anniversary

In April of 1984 the Nyack NAACP celebrated its Diamond Jubilee by honoring its past presidents. Pictures on the program cover were Walter Blount, Sr., founder of the Nyack branch of the organization; William Humphries, Sr.; Daniel Malloy; Rec. Dr. W. C. Taylor; Rev. Dr. J. Welfred Findley; Leonard Cooke; Laurence Holland; William Nelson; Dr. Clarence Branch, Jr.; and Catherine Knight. Also honored but not pictures were James Valentine, Horace Lea, Theodore Cozart, and Clarence Suydam. The annual dinner was held at the Tappan Zee Towne House.
