The 1978-79 issue of Polemic, "an annual scholarly journal of Third World issues and aspirations" that focused on African-American history, developing countries, foreign policy, and the Black experience. Included in issues were scholarly essays, poetry, articles, and fiction. This issue was published by the Executive Committee of the student organization Straight Ahead. The editors of this issue were John G. Russell, Nazir K. Ahmad, and Johann Smith.
