Description
Jean grew up in poverty and experienced socio-economic discrimination. Raised a Protestant, he learned about the LDS Church in 1991 from his brother-in-law, before the arrival of the Church in Madagascar. He found the first LDS Church in Ankadifotsy and joined a year after his wife in 1992. He is attracted to reverence, music, and the Doctrine and Covenants. He, his wife, and son work to support the family. He makes decisions with his wife. He is concerned about recidivism, but has faith in the future. He has no dispute with the ethnicity of the leaders in Salt Lake; he feels fortunate to have the guidance of a contemporary prophet.
