Photograph of California Eagle staff members welcoming Eslanda Goode Robeson to Los Angeles. Adora Lily Ulasi, second from left, was a Nigerian student who lived with California Eagle publisher Charlotta Bass and worked for the Eagle. Mrs. Robeson, wife of actor and singer Paul Robeson, was her husband's manager and was closely associated with his various political campaigns, including opposition to fascism in Spain and attempts to persuade Congress to pass anti-lynching legislation.
