Topic of the letter: Anti-suffrage."Denver October 20th 93To the Rocky Mountain Pews! Dear Pews! I would like to say those few times [?] your [?] paper from a woman who was left a widow over 20 years ago and always had to make my own living with my children, but still I never want to see the woman vote, What will become of this Country if they should get the right to vote, it will surely go to destruction, there may be some all right, but no good Housewife or good mother is running for Woman right but [?] to their Homes and [?], Woman as we always Know can be bought or coaxed to do a good many things. I heard so many say-wait until we get to vote, wont I make it hot for my old man, I think [?] woman have too much right now, if a poor man in those hard times is out of work has spent all his former earning with his loving wife, and cant help himself; she goes and make complaints for non support and runs him to Jail, (such Laws) she ought to go then too, I have seen a few days ago" "in a paper that mothers are not raising they're daughters to work like we did, but let them have good times; and [womans?] sight that is; I guess to make Slaves of man and make them do the work out and indoors, wouldn't we for a great change...
