Description

Holograph, signed.William Lloyd Garrison discusses death and the Christian doctrine of the immortality of the soul. He disapproves of the "false teachings of priestcraft [sic] respecting the fate of those who do not subscribe to its dogmas, whereby is determined everlastingly the doom of the soul at the time of its separation from the mortal body; ..." He hopes that J. Miller M'Kim will recover sufficient strength to make the trip to Florida next winter. Garrison attended the William C. Nell's funeral.
