Description

As a child, Theresa lost two siblings in a car wreck. As a young women, Theresa had an “illegal” marriage and gave birth to a daughter, after which her husband abandoned her. In visiting with missionaries she was attracted by the doctrines of baptism for the dead and temple marriage. After she joined the Church, she married a gentle man, who adopted her daughter. She suffered, however, the deaths of two more children and eventually her LDS spouse. She appreciates home visits from Relief Society sisters. Her favorite scripture, 2 Nephi 25, speaks about the importance of preaching and believing in Christ. She has been a Relief Society President and states that it is difficult to lead adult members. She believes there may be temples in Madagascar in the future. She sustains the white leaders and states that she has experienced spiritual, temporal, and moral blessings through Church membership.
