Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Peabody, mother of Massachusetts Governor Endicott Peabody, leaves jail at St. Augustine, Fla., to testify in federal court, April 2, 1964. At right is Dr. Robert Hayling, integration leader. Mrs. Peabody spent two days in jail for her involvement in segregation demonstrations.
