Black and white photographs of the dedication of the Charles Drew House as a theme house, specifically the Black Cultural House, on April 18, 1987. Scenes include attendees listening to speakers and interacting with one another as well as the presentation of items for the dedication. Interior portions of Charles Drew House can be seen in the background. Several descendents of Charles Drew, including his daughter Doctor Charlene Drew Jarvis, can be seen in images. Charlene Drew Jarvis and Peter Pouncey (President of Amherst College, 1984-1994) can be seen speaking to attendees. Onawumi Jean Moss, Emeritus Dean of Students (Associate Dean of Students at Amherst College, 1985-2006), is also featured in some photographs.
