Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.M C. Blanchard writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to not being able to approve of the cause "pursued by either Society towards the other since they have divided and wasted much of the energy so requiste for the advancement of the main objects, in mutual contention & recrimination." Subsequently, she declines to subscribe to the 'object you have proposed' (the national anti-slavery standard) but wishes to contribute toward the expenses of William Lloyd Garrison as a delegate of the World's convention. Blanchard's sister, Anna W. Cotton wishes to become a life member of the Boston female anti-slavery society.
