In this letter, Reverend O. Singleton, the Superintendent for the National Home Finding Society for Colored Children, an orphanage for African-American children, describes the work of the Society and petitions Edward M. Stevens, a member of Jephtha Lodge, No. 11, to use his influence in support of the Society.
