Encyclopedia article about Charlayne Hunter-Gault who was one of the first two African American students admitted to the University of Georgia. She is also known for her career as a journalist on television and in print. Before attending the University of Georgia, Hunter-Gault attended Turner High School in Atlanta and Wayne State University in Detriot, Michigan.The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
