Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Charles Turner Torrey writes to Amos A. Phelps in regards to inviting Mrs. Phelps to Worcester on a visit so that he may speak at a meeting. He writes that they need to "make a thorough exposition of Garrisonisms & then of our abolitionism with speeches in the evenings." The fair will be held by the ladies Worcester, according to Torrey. He discusses the book "Right and Wrong" and suggests that he along with other society members "prepare statements upon those portions which relate to us severally: explaining parts misrepresented, etc."
