Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white, lined paper with an embossed logo in the head- spine corner of each page. Above the salutation the number "36" is written in pencil, while in the head- spine corner of the adjacent page "G.T. Brooklyn, N.Y. March 11, 1864" is also written in pencil.George Thompson writes to William Lloyd Garrison describing the hospitality of his Quaker hosts, saying that he has "around me all that the Quakers are in the habit of providing for the comfort of their guests". He tells Garrison he will deliver his message to Wendell [Phillips] that evening and that he plans to write Garrison every day if possible.
