Description
College enrollment reports for African American colleges, possibly starting in 1930 to 1957. The Division of Negro Education Special Subject File includes correspondence, reports, minutes, notes, questionnaires, deeds, memoranda, recommendations, proceedings, agendas, newspaper clippings, budgets, statistics, maps, and photographs. The subjects include high school accreditation, teachers salaries, curricula, the Jeanes Fund, the Rosenwald Fund, school buildings, teachers colleges, summer schools, normal schools, and material from the Interracial Commission (1933-1949). Also contains information and reports for most of the African American colleges in the state, and information from various conferences and committees.
