Description
A characterization of Jefferson Davis as the Devil with horns and wings rides on the back of a caricature of Benedict Arnold. They're facing the left side of the envelope. A Confederate flag falls away from Arnold's left hand and a red bolt of lightning zig zags in front of them. Another devil figure can be seen in the bottom left corner of the image. He holds a bident pointed up at Arnold and Davis. Image captioned: The Traitor Arnold giving a warm reception to the Traitor Davis. Along the left side of the envelope is printed: D. Murphy's Son, Print. 65 Fulton & 372 Pearle Street.
