Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper. In the left hand side of the margin, there is the number "11' written in pencil. On the top left corner of the letter, there is an embossed stamp of a bird and it says "South Worth Co."H.G.O. White writes to Amos A. Phelps requesting information on the issue of slavery. He writes "we should do what in our power lies to find the most eficient [sic] way & means to efect [sic] that object. The church to wich [sic] I belong proposes to make some...exertions for Foreign Missions." He mentions that he and a few others from his church in Taunton heard his remarks at the Liberty Convention. He writes that his church will claim itself to be an "Anti Slavery Church."
