Holograph, signed.William Lloyd Garrison introduces George Marshall, a former fugitive slave who has just returned from Australia. Marshall comes highly recommended by a gentleman in the medical profession. Marshall is contemplating to locate himself in Syracuse. Samuel Joseph May could give Marshall information and an introduction to physicians. The story of George Marshall's life is to be published in England. Garrison has secured a hearing in Salem and Providence for Samuel J. May's lecture on the rise and progress of the anti-slavery cause. The "Radical Political Abolition Convention" amounted to nothing. Yesterday, Gerrit Smith had breakfast with Garrison.Merrill, Walter M. Letters of William Lloyd Garrison, v.4, no.121.
