Description

Slave Post Office was established on November 30, 1920 with John Toner as postmaster. It was discontinued on May 31, 1923 and the mail then handled by the Leiter Post Office. (Wyoming Post Offices) A postoffice and stock shipping point in Sheridan County, 51 miles southeast of Sheridan the county seat. Kendrick is the nearest railroad point and Arvada the nearest banking point. Population 11. Altitude 7,737 feet.
