Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper. In the left corner of the first page, there is the number "32" written in pencil.James Morris Whiton writes to Amos A. Phelps about places to stay while he over in Europe and enclosed letters of introduction. He writes that Mr. Thornton belongs to a Society in Manchester and if he desires to be introduced to his minister, Reverend Munroe, he will make it happen. In addition, he writes "I do not precisely know how he stands in regard to the controversy."
