Description
Records collected by the director of the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission between October 1966 and November 1966. The file contains memorandums and reports about Commission investigations and work and a press release announcing support of a committee to support public schools in the state. During this time, investigations were conducted in Grenada, Natchez, and Woodville, and Pike and Amite Counties. The commission also shared information on the Child Development Group of Mississippi, the Urban League, and on Ted Seaver.The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
