In the photograph Wilton Norman "Wilt the Stilt" Chamberlain (1936-1999), a star player for the Overbrook High School boys basketball team, holds the Philadelphia Inquirer Award for the Most Valuable Player in the Inter League Basketball Game. Chamberlain, born in Philadelphia and a graduate of Overbook High School, played professional basketball for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is the only player in NBA history to score 100 points in a single game and was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
