In this interview, George Berry discusses his role in the administrations of four major mayors of Atlanta: Ivan Allen, Sam Massell, Maynard Jackson, and Andrew Young. He outlines his involvement in the construction and administration of the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, and the future of transportation in the city.George J. Berry, born July 5, 1937, served as the Commissioner of Aviation for the City of Atlanta from 1978 to 1983, and as Commissioner of Industry, Trade, and Tourism for the state of Georgia from 1983-1990, when he became the vice president of Cousins Properties, a leading property development company, until 1994.
