Holograph, signed.On page one of this manuscript, there is printed circular letter by Charles Wheeler Denison. On pages three through four, there is a handwritten note marked "Private" by Charles Wheeler Denison to William Lloyd Garrison.Denison writes: "Having resided some time in the West Indies, in the capacity of United States Consul for the Colony of British Guiana, and having carefully observed the workings of the English Emancipation Act, I am prepared to communicate the results of my observations to the public. My official position gave me free access to all sources of information, and I lost no opportunity to obtain all the facts as they really are." Denison asks for assistance.
