Description

Holograph, signed. In this letter, Edmund Quincy discusses a payment to Charles Lenox Remond from a fund intended for agents, even though "Remond is not one of our agents." Edmund Quincy objects that William Lloyd Garrison's expenses (at the New Bedford meeting) were not paid. While ill, Loring Moody was accidentally given an overdose of medicine. Remond has sent Mr. [Thomas T.?] Stone to Leicester to fill a lecture engagement for him; Edmund Quincy thinks that Mr. Stone should not be sent to speak in front of an audience that is expecting Remond.
