Description

Holograph.The envelope addressed to Deborah Weston contains a note in the inside flap: "I have given E.B.C. an exact a/c of how[?] she stands. Will w[rite] by a. c. next steamer." [E.B.C. might be Elizabeth Bates Chapman.] It is unknown who wrote this note.Enclosed, is also a letter from E.B.C. [perhaps Elizabeth Bates Chapman] to Warren [perhaps R. Warren Weston]. This letter was written on a steamship. Elizabeth describes the departure and who was on board, etc. The steamer was bound for Halifax as its first port of call.
