Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper with a small checkmark drawn in pencil in the head- spine corner. Under the salutation, the number "81" is also written in pencil.Bourne Spooner writes to Samuel May commenting that the "officers of the Rail Road intend that the trains stop at the Grove to accomodate the excurtionists of this side of Abington." He tells May that he "may receive with a view to as large a gathering as may be mustered." Spooner ends the letter expressing his hope that "something will be done to promote the 'good time coming.'"
