Description

The material in this folder consists of articles, reprints, pamphlets, and reports on civil rights activities in Mississippi in the 1961-1965 period. Much of the material is by or about COFO and SNCC. Included are Jack Minnis' "A Chronology of Violence and Intimidation in Mississippi Since 1961," a compendium of incidents involving beatings, threats, intimidation, arrests, police brutality, shootings, bombings, and murders, and Nicholas von Hoffman's "Finding and Making Leaders," a report originally prepared for SDS.
