Description
Dwight P. Janes reports that John Jay Hyde, editor of the New London Gazette, claims "the young Spaniard" told him that the Amistad Captives were newly arrived from Africa. Dwight P. Janes suggests that Hyde be summoned, however, since he is not an abolitionist, Savilion Haley should also be summoned.
