Photograph shows Arthur Evans, of the Jones Tabernacle AME Church at Twentieth and Diamond Street, dressed in the colonial garb of African Methodist Episcopal Church founder Richard Allen. Evans is shown standing in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which honors George Washington and an unknown soldier from the Revolutionary War and is located in Washington Park, Phiiladelphia, Pa. A sixteen block portion of Sixth Street, was recently renamed Richard Allen Avenue in honor of Allen.Title from clipping caption
