Description
Location as per Kenosha directory of 1858 was Kenosha Street (Seventh Avenue) near Deming Street (61st Street) and 1934 is 1116 61st Street. Underground Railroad station. The Underground Railroad was a name given to an unorganized body of men that assisted slaves to Canada. Reuben H. Deming landed in Southport October 25, 1836 and was a Methodist minister and Justice of the Peace.
