Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.George Thompson writes to Richard Davis Webb in regards to not being competent "to alter any thing. You have more knowledge than I have on the branch of the subject to wh[ich] the paper relates and a better judgement respecting what should be published. With you I leave the matter. The speech arrived safely. He has given the speech away at parties and will do the best he can with the rest. He will send him a list of his recent lectures on American slavery.
