Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Writing on behalf of the Female Literary Association, Sarah Mapps Douglass writes to William Lloyd Garrison and Isaac Knapp "to purchase a few copies of [Garrison's pamphlet] 'Thoughts on Colonization'". She offers them "our heartfelt thanks for what you have done" and assures them, "dear to our people are the names of Garrison and Knapp." Douglass also reports the "Association is increasing in number and usefulness." In the postscript, she says she could have purchsed the books through "the agent but the Association wished to express their sympathy," before adding that she will obtain the books from Joseph Cassey.
