Description

In this series of WSB-TV newsfilm clips, NAACP Atlanta Branch executive secretary Robert B. Flanagan calls for the resignation of members of the Atlanta Housing Authority (AHA) based on their request for HUD (U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development) to let them continue to use the "freedom of choice rule." He says that his rule "has perpetuated segregation in public housing." Most of the clips focus on Mr. Flanagan, seated at a desk with microphones, however there a a few clips that include a shot of Mr. Flanagan from the side, and a shot that shows a cameraman and two other men near a wall.Title supplied by cataloger.Supporting information was taken from the following source: Coffin, Alex.
